The North Ayrshire Housing Register website has been updated to include further information for current and prospective NAHR Applicants. You can now access a new NAHR Street List and the 2025/26 NAHR Performance Management Framework.

Applicants are now able to review the new NAHR Street list to help make informed housing choices. You will be able to see what streets are included within NAHR, and what streets our NAHR Partners specifically hold stock in. This will be reviewed and updated quarterly to ensure information remains up to date. To access this you can select "NAHR Streets" on the NAHR Homepage. NAHR have reviewed and updated their Performance Management Framework. This allows you to see the management of Housing Applications on the NAHR, Applicant Offers, Mutual Exchanges and Lets through-out the reporting year. The Scottish Housing Regulator has today published two updated factsheets for tenants and landlords about raising a Serious Concern about a landlord.

The Regulator updated the factsheets to respond to feedback from tenants and landlords. The new factsheets provide more information about how tenants can report Serious Concerns to the Regulator and how it handles these reports.

Arran’s largest social housing provider is joining the North Ayrshire Housing Register.

Trust Housing Association will formally join the register as a core partner on 1 April, 2025.

Jennifer Wallace, Director of Customer Experience at Trust Housing, said: “We are looking forward to continuing our partnership working with North Ayrshire Council as a new Common Housing Register Partner.

“This joined-up approach to allocations will provide our customers, seeking housing on Arran, a single point of application and will streamline the allocations process on the island for both our general needs and older people’s housing.”

Trust Housing joins the Council, Cunninghame Housing Association, Riverside Scotland (formerly Irvine Housing Association) and Cairn Housing Association (formerly ANCHO) as core partners on the housing register.

Across all organisations, they are collectively responsible for approximately 97 per cent of the 18,000 social rented properties in North Ayrshire.

The North Ayrshire Housing Register (NAHR) is a partnership between the council and Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) operating the common housing register in North Ayrshire.

The register makes it straightforward for applicants to apply for housing with the council and participating RSLs through a single housing application form.

Following a successful tenant ballot in which 92% of tenants voted in favour of the transfer, we are delighted to confirm Ancho will officially transfer to Cairn Housing Association on 1st April 2025. 

From the 1st of April 2025 Cairn Housing Association will become the landlord of all Ancho properties.

This change brings long-term benefits for tenants, including:

✅ Services from the same local office   
✅ More investment in homes and communities 

As a tenant, your existing tenancy agreement, rights, and rent arrangements will remain unchanged and services will continue to be delivered by the team in Irvine. You can continue to contact us on the same telephone number and email address. However, its recommended to begin using 0800 990 3405 or email enquiries@cairnha.com as the Ancho number and email will be discontinued soon.   

To mark the occasion of Ancho joining Cairn, we would like to invite all tenants to a ribbon cutting ceremony 1:30pm on Thursday 3rd of April 2025, in what will be the Cairn office in Sovereign House Irvine, afterword there will be a chance to chat with the team about any aspect of your tenancy or our plans moving forward.

If you require proof of this landlord change for any reason, your official notification letter, which provides confirmation should be with you shortly by post.
